Memorable Event for Ojas Panchkarma Research Journal

Ojas Panchakarma (ISSN 2454-7832 ) has participated in National Seminar on Dispersing Controversial Areas in Ayurveda Sharir as Publishing Partner for souvenir to aid authentication to the manuscript received by various authors.

Published journal has been inaugurated by Honorable Governor of UP Shri Ram Naik ji at Lucknow on 1-Oct-16 and Dr D G Thatte, President All India Sharir Research Institute & Dr Nidhi Shrivastav, Associate Editor Ojas Panchkarma were also present.

Around 91 articles and 26 abstracts were received & Published. 

Dr Thatte felicitated Mr. Akshat Deshpande, Managing Editor Ojas Panchkarma with Best Scientific Journalism Award.

Ojas Panchkarma has received overwhelming response from the dignitaries for its excellent Publication.

Team Ojas is thankful to Team of All India Institute of Sharir, Lucknow for successful completion of program.

Papaya, Dengue fever and Ayurveda

1. One study found that the papaya seed was toxic to the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which is a vector for the etiologic agents of both yellow and dengue fever.[1]
2. Another study reported that in in vitro models, papaya leaves demonstrated significant inhibition of hemolysis.[2]
3. A third study in mice revealed significant increase in thrombocyte counts compared to the controls.[3]
4. There is one clinical study, which is a randomized controlled trial in 228 patients that reported significant increase in platelet production in patients with dengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever after administration of papaya leaves.[4]
5. The fifth study is a case report on a single patient with dengue fever showing significant increase in platelet count after administration of papaya leaves.[5]

Treatment & Management of Dengue (DANDAKA JWARA) with Ayurveda  
Management
• Punarnava (Borhavia diffusa) Is a herb which helps in flushing out toxins through perspiration.
• Amrithotharam kashayam, Amritha satva (Sat giloy) are some of the good herbal medicines advised in Dengue fever.
• Boil tulasi in water and drink this water throughout the day to build up immune system.
• Dhatura is an Ayurvedic herb which has potency to reduce seriousness of dengue fever, but should be strictly taken after consulting Ayurvedic physician.

Amrita (Guduchi), Tulasi (Holi basil), Shunthi (Dried ginger), Papaya  are the commonly available medicinal plants and used to prevent its complications by potentiating immune system so that disease gets controlled within a  period of 4to 8 days.

Diet During Dandaka jvara 
Rice gruel (Kanji),Rice porridge (khichari) cooked with ginger and lemon  is useful.
Tea prepared with Tulasi, Ginger and cardamom may be taken at two hourly interval.
Spicy and Oily food should be strictly avoided.
Pomegranate /black grape juice can be taken to increase blood count
